New Country

Yay - New Country tomorrow!  Cambodia here we come.

Chumphon

We did a 60km ride into Chumphon .  Then we did a 480km ride in a pickup truck because the train was fully booked.  We arrived in Bangkok at 7.30pm, got a hotel and ate some dinner.  Then we went up to bed to watch tv and sleep.

On the Road Again

On the 10th we left the Bungalows.  I was all excited and from leaving and hitting the road again and not having to do school.

We did a 50km ride to AoLuk.  I did not like it because I had been couped up for a month doing school work and not much riding.  We had a ok hotel, but I did not like it much.

In the morning we set off towards Phanga which was a nice hotel.  For dinner I had a yummy hamburger, sticky rice and a roti.  Roti is my favourite food in Thailand!

Hong Island

Yesterday we went to Hong Island off the coast of Ao Nang which is 3km from where we are staying in some cool bungalows.  We went snorkelling in the nice warm water and there were fish there which you could feed with bread and they bit your fingers which was cool.  There were lots of jellyfish there which didn't sting, just tickled a bit and got annoying.  One got my lip good and it was hurting for the rest of the day.  When me and Sam climbed up the rocks we found this little pool.  It was cool, but the rocks were really sharp.  You could jump off them.

We got there in a long boat which is a canoe with car motor with a propeller stuck on the back of it!  It makes a loud noise.  I got cut on my thumb off the rocks which made me not able to go swimming.

On the beach there were lots of people with no tops on (girls) which was annoying cos you go to the beach for a nice day out and they're there.  It started to rain on the trip back to Ao Nang and when it rains in Thailand it really rains.  We were glad to get home for a shower and some ovaltine (Milo).  I got to wear my merina top (finally).

Hi Mickey here, I've just done a 100km ride and now my legs feel like jelly.  I saw about 5 dead snakes on the trip but the yuckiest thing I saw was a dead dog's ball bag!!  The scariest thing was knowing that they have bird eating spiders here so lucky i'm not a bird.  This place is cool because because of the scenery we saw a big hill that looked like God's thumb from the Holes movie.  Sam said it looked like something else of God's, but mum wouldn't let me write that.

Maylasia

we left singapore went over the border bridge into maylasia the traffic was busy as ! motor scooters everywhere.we stayed the night Johor Baru , then we rode 62 km with a couple of detours to Pontian .there were roadkill monkey's snake's &frogs next day was a killer 73 k's with a few hills to Batu Pahat .
Today we had a cruzzie 53 into Maur . The food we have been eating is spicey &delicious .It rained yesterday harder than you could imagine for about a hour we found shelter at a school

Sweet Singapore

The flight was real cool, cos we got to watch movies.  We got up at 3am in Auckland and didn't go to bed here until 2am Auckland time the next day.  All of a sudden allnighters don't seem like such fun.  I was feeling pretty sick by that stage.  Best bits was going on the cycle only route.  Funniest bit was when I fell right on my backside into a wet puddle when I skidded on the wet footpath.
